It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since my last blog post. So much has changed in the world of filmmaking, and my journey has taken me to some unexpected places—both creatively and personally. I’ve worked on projects that pushed me beyond my comfort zone, explored new techniques, and collaborated with some incredible talent. I also went back to school and earned my Degree in Digital Cinematography through Full Sail University. Now, I’m excited to get back to sharing everything I’ve learned with all of you.

What Have I Been Up To?

Since my last post, I’ve delved deeper into independent filmmaking, particularly in the horror genre. One of my favorite recent projects was Fields of Fear, a horror film about a terrifying scarecrow haunting a small town. This project allowed me to experiment with practical effects and natural lighting, using S-Cinetone to capture vibrant, cinematic visuals right in-camera. Horror has always been a genre where you can really push boundaries, and this film gave me the chance to do exactly that.

Aside from horror, I’ve also expanded my cinematography skills by working with a variety of camera systems, from RED to ARRI to Sony. Each project has helped me hone my expertise in crafting visual storytelling in the most dynamic ways possible.

What’s Next?

The filmmaking industry is evolving faster than ever, with advancements in technology and new platforms making it easier to bring stories to life. Moving forward, I plan to dive even deeper into the possibilities of digital cinematography and share more behind-the-scenes insights with you. Whether it’s camera reviews, tips on lighting, or discussions on visual storytelling, my goal is to provide you with content that’s both educational and inspiring.

How Can You Benefit?

If you’re an aspiring filmmaker or a seasoned pro looking for tips, this blog will cover a wide range of topics tailored to help you on your journey. I’ll be breaking down techniques that I’ve used on set, reviewing the latest gear, and providing actionable tips to improve your filmmaking craft—whether you’re working with a micro-budget or something larger.

I’m excited to reconnect with you and share this next chapter of my filmmaking journey. Stay tuned for more frequent posts, project updates, and behind-the-scenes looks at the creative process.

Thanks for being here with me. The best is yet to come!
